The ThinQubator at Tech Valley Center of Gravity is one of just a small handful of children’s makerspaces around the world. Here, we empower kids and families to think, tinker, collaborate, skill-build, design, and MAKE. Through hands-on experiences, kids deeply explore science, technology, engineering, art and math in engaging, fun exercises.
The ThinQubator is home to STEAM-Powered Saturdays, our every-1st-Saturday drop-in program that invites children ages 4-12 and their families to join us for a fun creative hands-on project like Noodle Doodle Bots, LED Bookmarks, Circuit Bugs, Pixel Art with Perler Beads and more. These free mind-expanding activities are made possible through the generous support of our friends at Albany Society of Engineers Foundation. To learn about each month’s project, look for us on Facebook or visit our events calendar.
ThinQubator also welcomes groups from schools, churches, scout troops, etc. for planned workshops and hosts home school workshops, after school enrichment programs, field trips and more. We even host and provide programming for birthday parties and other celebrations.
