Starting October 26, you can bid on a curated collection of fun experiences donated by our amazing community partners and incredible, handcrafted items donated by TVCOG members. **Check back soon for link and auction catalog!** --- ### About the Awardees **AWARD FOR INNOVATION** Cole Belmont ![](https://www.tvcog.net/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/Belmont-Headshot-300x300.avif) This award recognizes local Makers who have made a significant impact on the greater Capital Region community through innovative, Maker-based work such as commercialization of groundbreaking technology or growth of a unique, impactful business or organization. Cole Belmont received a Master’s Degree in Architecture and Urban Design from the Pratt Institute in 2010 and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Architecture from the University of New Mexico in 2003. His work, teaching and research focuses on interdisciplinary applications of digital fabrication, critical making and advanced manufacturing. Cole has developed curriculum, supported programs and taught and run workshops on advanced 3D modeling and simulation, parametric and computational design, digital to physical workflows including 3D printing, laser cutting and robotic fabrication. As the Makerspace Director at Union College he is both a practitioner and an academic, teaching, working on his own design research and at the same time, educating and helping to facilitate the research and work of others. **MEMBER OF THE YEAR** Ron Grieco ![](https://www.tvcog.net/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/Screenshot-2024-04-02-171910- edited-300x300.avif) This award recognizes TVCOG members who have gone above-and-beyond to support their fellow makers and the overall COG community. Ron has served as TVCOG’s woodshop coordinator since 2023. In that time, he has successfully grown his woodworking business from the ground up, conducted over 65 safety orientations & classes, and has been a reliable sounding board for countless COG members exploring the joys of woodworking.
