You're invited to celebrate the book release for Paper Inventions! STEM author Kathy Ceceri will be joining us at STEAM-Powered Saturday on November 1, from 10am-1pm. We will be making the paper "Jack in the Box" activity from her new book, and Kathy will be there to chat about the 30+ projects in the book, and offer signed copies! 

Kathy Ceceri is an award-winning writer, educator, and Maker, with a focus on science, technology, history, and art. She is the author of over a dozen books for kids featuring hands-on STEAM activities and has taught enrichment workshops at schools, museums, libraries, and afterschool programs for more than 15 years. About the Workshop:

This is a drop-in program for the whole family; participants can join anytime from 10am-1pm, but we recommend allocating a minimum of 30-45 minutes for each activity. Parents/guardians are expected to stay with their children at all times and actively participate in the workshop.

This workshop is recommended for families with children ages 7 and up, as it requires some fine motor skills for folding. Parents/guardians are asked to use their discretion when deciding whether a specific activity is the right choice for their kids; some toys and coloring sheets are available for siblings too young to complete the workshop.
