VOLUNTEER POSITIONS

The leadership team at TVCOG is largely composed of volunteers. We are always looking for members to join our volunteer team, and encourage everyone to reach out to staff to learn more about other volunteer opportunities that are not listed here. Listed below are only high-priority positions we are actively seeking to fill.

Volunteer Leadership Position Opening- Welding Shop Zone Coordinator

TVCOG is looking to add an experienced Welder to our volunteer team.

The Zone Coordinator is the ambassador of their zone, making it as welcoming as possible for new and experienced makers alike. They are the first point of contact for any questions or concerns, and will introduce members to each other to build relationships and encourage knowledge sharing. They are an active user of the zone, and are able to identify opportunities for improvement. They are the champion for safe and proper equipment use. Zone Coordinators report to the Operations Director.

Zone Coordinators may request to receive a membership discount. The discount may vary based on how much time the position requires, but will typically be equal to the number of hours typically volunteered per month multiplied by TVCOG’s current volunteer discount rate per hour. Typical Time Commitment: Approximately 8 hours a month. Zone Coordinator positions require significant experience in their respective Zone, but training is often available for those willing to shadow current Coordinators as coordinators-in-training.
