Glass Arts 101: Fused Glass Jewelry

Learn to create unique pieces of jewelry using fused glass! This class will walk students through the steps of creating fused glass pieces, and will provide students with the opportunity to create three pendants of their own. Students have the choice of shape and design of the pendants, which can be made with transparent and opaque glass, glass frit, glass stringer, and/or copper foil.

Participants will also be guided through the steps for finishing the pendants, and complete the pendant themselves independently of class.  

No previous experience necessary. The registration fee includes all materials. For TVCoG members, this course also qualifies as the required Glass Arts Safety Orientation. Participants must be 16 or older.

Class Fee: $100 CoG Members | $110 Non-Members 

Registration & cancellation policies: To keep our classes affordable, we book our instructors and purchase materials in advance. We depend on advanced registration. Classes without sufficient advanced enrollment may be canceled. Advanced registration closes 3 days before the class date; after this date, a $10 late registration fee will be applied. Discounts will be automatically applied to current COG members.

Cancellations must be made one week before the class date in order to be eligible for a refund, unless due to illness. 

Class Discounts & Financial Aid: TVCOG offers full and partial discounts on classes for individuals with demonstrated financial need. Please fill out a request form here. Requests should be submitted at least 5 days prior to the class date.

COVID-19 Safety: TVCOG is committed to ensuring the safety of its members, instructors and guests and as such, has set certain COVID-19 safety precautions in place which follow NYS and CDC guidance. Masks are required for all unvaccinated class participants and optional for fully vaccinated class participants. Proof of vaccination is required.

Please note, if you are showing signs of COVID related symptoms and cannot attend your class, you have the option to request a full refund up to 1 week before your class begins. After this point, students experiencing symptoms may request a full class credit up to the morning of the class.
