Prototyping 120: Introduction to 3D Scanning

Get comfortable using our 3D scanner, the Einscan HX! We'll talk through the use cases for 3D scanning, typical work flows, good scanning techniques, and how to use the scanner's software interface to get an STL that can be loaded into your preferred mesh editing software. Bring an object to 3D scan, and we'll work thorugh why you will (or won't) get a good scan.  

No previous experience necessary. Open to ages 18+, or 16+ with a parent/guardian chaperone. The scanner emits a rapidly flashing light. There may be a risk of seizure for photosensitive individuals.

Class Fees: $40 CoG Members | $50 Non-Members 

Registration closes 3 days prior to the class. After this date, a $10 late registration fee will be applied. To keep our classes affordable, we depend on advanced registration. Classes with low enrollment may be canceled.

Cancellations: Cancellation requests must be made one week before the class date in order to be eligible for a refund, unless due to illness. 

Class Discounts & Financial Aid: Member discounts will be automatically be applied if you are logged into the website, and have a valid membership. TVCOG also offers full and partial discounts for individuals with demonstrated financial need. Please fill out a request form here. Requests should be submitted at least 5 days prior to the class date.
