Prototyping 202: Exploring CAD

Expand your knowledge of using CAD to design for additive manufacturing processes.

 

This beginner-level course expands upon students' foundational knowledge of CAD, exploring more complex modeling techniques and the process of adding parametric constraints. We will primarily be diving deeper into Fusion 360 with some time allocated to personal projects. This class assumes some experience or exposure to computer-aided design in the past. Prototyping 110 or equivalent required.

Computers and Fusion 360 accounts are not provided; please bring your own laptop with the software installed. Open to ages 18+, or 16+ with a parent/guardian chaperone. 

Class Fees: $60 CoG Members | $70 Non-Members 

About the Instructors: This class is taught by Julian Goldman and Dierdre Shea of Fun Stuff Design. FSD is a creative and industrial design studio specializing in novel sustainable materials and sustainable product development. Their projects focus on biomaterials and objects that endure.

Registration closes 3 days prior to the class. After this date, a $10 late registration fee will be applied. To keep our classes affordable, we depend on advanced registration. Classes with low enrollment may be canceled.

Cancellations: Cancellation requests must be made one week before the class date in order to be eligible for a refund, unless due to illness.
