Skill-Based Classes
Learn a new skill and make something amazing in our hands-on classes! From Fiber Arts to Woodshop classes, we have it all.
Financial aid for classes may be available for those who need it: please fill out the request form here. Please check individual descriptions for age restrictions. Here are a few of our upcoming classes:
- 07/27/2024Learn how to create complex 3-dimensional objects on the Laser Cutter. Saturday, July 27th 3-5pm. Ages 14+.
- 08/03/2024Learn the basics of using CAD to design for additive manufacturing processes like 3D printing.
- 08/15/2024Learn the basics of soldering. Thursday, August 15th 6-9pm. Ages 14+
- 08/17/2024Expand your knowledge of using CAD to design for additive manufacturing processes.
- 08/22/2024Learn to use the high-end, industrial-grade 3D printers available at TVCOG.

Classes & Events for TVCOG Members
Connect with other TVCOG members, get safety trained on equipment, ask a Zone Coordinator for help and more. These volunteer-led events are provided to TVCOG members at no cost. Membership required.
Zone Safety Orientations
Attending a zone's Safety Orientation is required before using its equipment. Registration required at least 48 hours in advance (if nobody registers, the instructor won't show up). Register here.
Zone Office Hours
Zone Office Hours allow members to connect with the Zone Coordinator to get help with anything related to the zone. Bring your questions, ask for advice on your project, or get help with a tool you're having trouble using. Register here.
Weekly Social Nights & Member Meetups
TVCOG hosts a variety of social and community-building events for members and their friends and family. We have our regular Social Night & pot luck every Tuesday evening beginning at 6:30 pm. These Social Nights are great opportunities to meet other members and speed the process of becoming part of the creative community at Tech Valley Center of Gravity. Social Night is also open to the public, so feel free to bring a friend! No pre-registration required.
