Cole Belmont

This award recognizes local Makers who have made a significant impact on the greater Capital Region community through innovative, Maker-based work such as commercialization of groundbreaking technology or growth of a unique, impactful business or organization.

In his time at Union College, Cole developed the “Union College Maker Web,” an innovative solution to the traditionally siloed resources in university environments, and leads the Electric City Maker Faire, which has become a staple event for the local Maker community. In the words of your anonymous nominator, “…few people have done more to strengthen and grow the maker community in New York’s Capital Region than Cole Belmont.” The COG could not agree more!

Ron Grieco

This award recognizes TVCOG members who have gone above-and-beyond to support their fellow makers and the overall COG community.

Ron has served as TVCOG’s woodshop coordinator since 2023. In that time, he has successfully grown his woodworking business from the ground up, conducted over 65 safety orientations & classes, and has been a reliable sounding board for countless COG members exploring the joys of woodworking. You can see Ron’s work at upcoming fine art shows including the Armonk Outdoor Art Show in September and the Rose Squared Art show in October.
