Welding is easy to learn, but difficult to master. This class will cover the basic operation of a TIG welder to join steel. At the end, you'll feel comfortable enough to practice using the welder on your own time. 

If you've never touched a welder before, we'd suggest starting with our MIG welding class, unless you have a specific reason for using TIG.

Your Instructor: Ben Stepanin from 518 mobile welding offers a wealth of knowledge and principles in design and fabrication from his experience as a mechanical engineer as well as over 8 years of welding experience. 518 Mobile Welding is a small business that specializes in metal fabrication and welding for onsite or inhouse jobs, whether its a quick repair or a built to order project.

Scheduling: This is a custom-scheduled, one-on-one class with an experienced instructor. It will take 1.5 hours to complete. After purchase, you will receive contact info for the instructor. Let the instructor know your availability, and coordinate a time to complete the class. The instructor is typically available weekday evenings and weekends.   

Safety: We will provide safety glasses, hearing protection, welding helmet, welding jacket, and gloves. Please wear closed-toe shoes (no mesh sneakers. Leather preferred), as well as natural fiber pants and long sleeve shirt. 

No previous experience necesary. All materials included. Participants must be 14+. Discounts will automatically be applied to current COG members during the registration process.
