#518RainbowHunt Sculpture Contest

The THINQubator is launching a rainbow sculpture contest to decorate our windows for the #518RainbowHunt. Our April STEAM-Powered Saturday program will show how to create a rainbow at home using light, and then families and kids can show the Capital Region what they can make a rainbow out of from items in and around their homes! This THINQubator contest encourages families to use abstract thinking and practice fine motor skills to build rainbows sculptures out of a variety of materials like legos, paper mache, rocks, or random household materials.

Children ages 12 and under can submit photos of their projects via social media with the hashtag #COGRainbowHunt to our facebook or twitter pages, or to send them via email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..  Entries will be accepted until May 15! On May 30, we will choose 5 lucky winners to receive a STEM basket and a free 3-month membership to the THINQubator, our kid's makerspace (total value $125)! All photos of projects will be displayed in our windows!

There are no rules as to what you can make your rainbow out of, so get as creative as you possibly can! If you have any questions, please reach out to us via email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
