The Presentation:
Larry Pape will discuss the pros of Scrum compared to Waterfall, how it can apply in Non-IT projects, and how it can help with project planning.
Goal:
Learn about how Scrum can be applied to different projects outside of IT.
Venue:
The event will take place at the Tech Valley Center of Gravity during their open house. You do not need to be a member to attend this event.
About the Presenter:
Larry Pape was first introduced to Scrum after taking a job with the Skilled Nursing Facility software company SigmaCare in 2014. In 2017 he joined his current employer MVP Healthcare while they worked to transition from Waterfall to Scrum. Prior to that he had spent 15 years in IT at LexisNexis in Albany, NY after graduating with a Computer Science degree from SUNY Albany. He devotes the majority of his free time to volunteering at Colonie Little League where he acts as the Leagues Safety Officer, Travel Board Secretary and manages up to 3 teams at a time.
