Learn to use the software needed to operate TVCOG's powerful, industrial-grade CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machine, which allows for high-precision cutting, carving, and milling of wood and plastic.
The CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Gantry Router located in TVCOG's Prototyping Center is a powerful tool that allows for rapid and precise cutting and carving of wood and plastic.Its large work area, high-speed capabilities, and advanced control system make it an extremely useful tool for Makers in a variety of industries, like woodworking, sign making, and manufacturing. This training covers usage of Fusion 360 CAM, the software needed to operate the router, with a specific focus on the use of this software in conjunction with the CNC router.
This training is required for CNC Router Operation. Covers creation of a model that utilizes:one adaptive clearing tool path; one 2D contour tool path; and two tools from CoG library exported G-Code with 15 min or less run time. Previous experience required: attendees should be capable of creating a 3D model in Fusion360, or another program that can export solid model files. Ages 18+.
